week we will be learning about the Ancient Greek idea of democracy, which is
still in place in many countries around the world today. Can you explain what
democracy is, giving an example?
Democracy is a form of direct democracy in Ancient Greece was practised in ancient cities of Athens for about 100 years . It was an experiment the people really liked it!!!

Democracy is something where citizens put their opinion in of what the council needs help with or opinion. In Greece demos means people and kratos means rule. An example of this is voting for Brexit.

Democracy is that in Ancient Greece people had the ability to vote for who they wanted to be their government like today we still use democracy for voting for the UK's Prime Minister or other Prime Minsters/Presidents and like in school classes we also vote for our School Council. It was made by the Athenians in Ancient Greece and used for a VERY long time.
